Dana El-Khatib MA
Dana (pronounced Dah-Nah) specializes in working with children (4+), adolescents, and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, boundary setting, identity struggles, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and emotional regulation. She also has experience working with neurodivergent children and youth for 5+ years. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals who feel deeply, think deeply, and are trying to better understand themselves while learning healthier ways to cope, connect, and grow.
Dana values creating a space that feels genuine, comfortable, and safe. She believes therapy does not have to feel overly formal or intimidating, and often brings warmth, humour, authenticity, and real conversation into her sessions. She understands that healing happens through connection, and her goal is to help clients feel seen as humans first, not just as problems to fix.
Dana uses an integrative and client-centred approach to counselling, tailoring sessions to each individual’s unique needs, experiences, and goals. She draws from interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Humanistic Interventions, and Trauma-informed care. She believes healing is not one-size-fits-all and values incorporating diverse perspectives, strengths, and ways of understanding wellness into the therapeutic process.
Dana is passionate about helping clients build self-awareness, healthier coping strategies, emotional resilience, and a stronger sense of identity and self-trust. Whether someone is seeking support through a difficult season of life or working toward deeper personal growth, she strives to create a collaborative space where clients feel supported, empowered, and understood.
Who is Dana outside the therapy room? Dana is naturally creative and expressive, and loves connecting with people in authentic ways. Outside of counselling, she enjoys spending time with her dog Milo, cooking, arts and crafts, and board games. With her light humour and bubbly energy, she wants you to feel like you’re talking to a best friend. She values balance, connection, and embracing individuality, and believes people heal best when they feel accepted exactly as they are.

Kiara Berg-Talman MA
Kiara specializes in supporting children, youth, young adults and families as they navigate emotional regulation, anxiety, stress, identity challenges, neurodivergence, and the lingering impacts of trauma. Many of the people she works with experience overwhelm, low motivation, perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-doubt, communication difficulties, or challenges with setting boundaries, and her passion lies in helping clients understand themselves more deeply, feel grounded, and strengthen their inner confidence.
Creativity is Kiara’s go-to word; she believes counselling is a space where imagination, emotion, and growth naturally meet, and she often incorporates art-based activities, visual tools, metaphors, and playful engagement to help people connect with their feelings in ways that feel accessible and meaningful. She brings warmth, humour, and authenticity into her work, laughing with clients and embracing the imperfect, human moments—sometimes even making up a metaphor on the spot—if it helps someone understand themselves better. Her approach is integrative and tailored to each person, drawing from mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), emotion-focused practices, art-based interventions, strengths-based counselling, and trauma-informed care.
Kiara believes every individual has a unique story, and she is committed to supporting personal growth, emotional healing, and the development of practical tools for everyday life.
Outside the therapy room, what you see is truly what you get: curious, creative, and always eager to learn. She finds inspiration in art, travel, and exploring new cultures, and one of her most cherished memories is travelling to Tanzania, where she explored the Serengeti and saw the Big Five—an experience that continues to shape her appreciation for connection, perspective, and the world around her.
